Upon graduation from Alfred University, NY in 2011, I enrolled in a class at Penland School of Crafts. This class introduced me to the Western North Carolina culture and thriving art community.
Subsequently I moved to Asheville in 2012 and have been immersed in all the creativity that Asheville has to offer. While honing my skills as a glass artist, I was also instrumental in the growth of the Asheville Glass Center’s many maturations, filling roles such as Glass Instructor and Gallery Manager. For 4 years I served as Operations Director of The North Carolina Glass Center. During this time I also devoted some time volunteering with the River Arts District Business Association to help channel the growth of the River Arts District.
I am presently dedicated to being a full time glass artist. I'm passionate about working with clients to create custom glass to please and inspire their living space. I focus mostly on lighting and other decorative elements. I find lighting is the ultimate way to showcase the inherent beauty of glass. I love curating custom palettes showing off the glass and enhancing the environment it lives in. My work has clean lines through shape and color application often using a classic Venetian glass blowing technique encalmo, a classic technique that serves as a great tool to create modern lines.
